# Nvidia's CEO Says There's A 0% Chance AI Ends The World. Anthropic's Says Slow Down.

CBS Sunday Morning put Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei in the chair on 13 September 2026, and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang in the same chair, with the same interviewer, on 20 September 2026. They were asked versions of the same question. They gave opposite answers.
Huang: "There is 0% chance that's going to be the end of the world." Asked whether he agreed with the president, who the interviewer noted had spent the week calling fears about AI's dangers a hoax, he said: "I completely disagree that AI is going to be the end of the world in 2030." On the people making the warnings, he said they "must be doing it for ulterior reasons."
Amodei, a week earlier: "It's a warning sign that we need to slow down," and "if we build in the wrong way, the probability of something bad happening is very high." He also said the other half of it - build it the right way and the probability is very low. What he is proposing is a third party with permanent, employee-like access, checking every model before it ships. He compared it to a food inspector.
Huang's position is to keep going, and that new rules are not the way.

On Sunday, CBS put a question to the man whose chips built the artificial intelligence boom. Is this going to end the world?
There is 0 % chance that's going to be the end of the world.
The question came with a reference point. The president had spent the week calling fears about AI a hoax. The interviewer asked Jensen Huang whether he agreed with that
I completely disagree with that. I completely disagree that AI is going to destroy, is going to be the end of the world in 2030.
One week earlier, the same program, the same interviewer, a different chair. This is Dario Amodei, who runs Anthropic
It's a warning sign. It's a warning sign that we need to slow down.
If we build in the wrong way, the probability of something bad happening is very high.
